Hilary Bradbury, Ph.D., is a scholar-practitioner focused on the human and organizational dimensions of creating healthy communities. A professor of organization studies since 1998 (Case Western, USC and OHSU in Portland), today she is editor in chief of Action Research Journal (Sage). Hilary was born and bred in Dublin, Ireland and educated at Trinity College proceeding to Divinity School at Harvard and University of Chicago. She earned her PhD at Boston College's School of Management with a focus on change and transformation. Author of numerous journal articles and editor of the successful Handbooks of Action Research, her latest book, coauthored with Bill Torbert, is Eros/Power: Love in the Spirit of Inquiry (Integral Publishers, 2016). Hilary convenes AR+ actionresearchplus.com, a global community for participatory action research scholar-practitioners, who are "accomplishing together what we cannot alone". AR+ hosts co-labs in support of community inquiry/practice in education, healthcare, relational action inquiry etc. AR+ will release the Action Researchers Cookbook in fall 2017. She enjoys formal affiliation with the Institute for Development Studies (IDS) at Sussex University UK, Business School Lausanne, Switzerland and Sweden's Chalmers Institute of Technology.
