A pioneering practitioner in integrating the arts into her leadership practice and work, Dr. Burgess draws on her passion and expertise in theatre, music, poetry, dance, and design. Her focus is singular: individual and collective transformation.
A former IT and human services executive, she's served as interim college president and advisor, lead faculty, program lead, and visiting faculty in Executive Leadership at the University of Washington, Seattle University, University of Southern California, and in other settings, including corporate, health care, arts, government, NGO, civic, spiritual, financial, IT, and educational contexts.
A dynamic, sought-after speaker, Dr. Burgess has presented keynotes and leadership forums in 30+ countries on six continents. Gloria lives with her husband John in the Pacific Northwest. Together they co-created Music for Transformation(tm), an innovative arts-infused experience designed to inspire and equip us to reimagine our teams, organizations, communities, and nations to be responsible, respectful, inclusive stewards for this generation and the generations to come.
