Presenter ( Rosie Holmes)
Rosie Holmes has direct experience for more than 7 years, with the development and administration of on-reserve health services. In her previous role as Director of Health, Social Development and Education departments of a First Nations community on Vancouver Island. Rosie has a detailed understanding of working within the First Nations community, especially the governance structures, social determinants of health, the service requirements and the necessity for greater interactions with Provincial health services. Her work involved strategic planning of health services and organizational development as it involved several change processes. She has had an opportunity to work across systems and sees the value in inter organizational cross- functional communication and collaboration. She has experience in building and sustaining relationships between federal and provincial health services, as well as the opportunity to partner with non-profit organizations in the local geographical region.
