Presenter ( Sandra Meadow)
After 16 years in Singapore and the UK, Sandy returned to Canada in 2014 to complete a master's degree in health communication (University of Illinois - Urbana-Champaign) and a postgraduate certificate in public health (London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine). She has years of practical experience in hospitals as a doula, a role uniquely positioned outside the patient-family-clinician relationship. She has supported families from five continents in shared decision-making with their clinical caregivers during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Sandy has worked since 2004 as a distance-learning trainer and curriculum developer in health communication, with students in over 100 countries.
